How to connect an AVerKey to a computer and TV

by Wesley A. Fryer
Last updated 15 May 2001

Hooking up a classroom computer to a television for whole-class lessons used to be a big chore-- almost more complicated than it was worth. Thankfully, with cable ready TVs and NetTVs available, the hookup process is not as complicated.

If you still have an older, non-cable ready TV you want to connect to your computer, however, you still may need some special equipment and technical know-how. The picture below shows how you can connect an AVerkey (a type of scan converter that converts the computer signal into one that can be displayed by a TV) to a television.

Order an AVerKey or similar converter from AVerMedia (www.avermedia.com).
