Grade: 9
Superman, watch out...Library Man may be the next youth icon! This
project invites students to invent, draw (using the computer), and write a
descriptive paragraph about a new superhero. The description (only) is
then e-mailed to students at partner schools. The recipients use the
description as a guide as they attempt to recreate the superhero in a
computer-drawing program (like Microsoft Paintbrush or Adobe). The
originals and the re-draws are compared. Of course, the better the originator
writes, the better the final outcome.
